Stacy's lovely photo of Garrett carving the turkey. He did pretty much the whole meal. Bev (my mother-in-law) made caramel sweet potatoes in the downstairs kitchen and I made mashed potatoes, but other than those and some appetizers and desserts and wine, Garrett was completely in charge. And I like it that way.

Here are six of the seven out of the eight that we were supposed to have, photographed by Stacy's friend Kevin, who doesn't allow public photos of himself posted online. Claire's mom Val was sick and had to bow out, which is a bummer because she also had to miss our housewarming.

Left to right:
Claire, Stacy, me, Garrett, Bev, and Dennis. Val's spot at the table ended up being where the giant plate of lefse went. Lefse are basically Norwegian potato tortillas. If you have a chance to try some, smear some butter on and roll them up.
