I went to Dollar Tree on my way home because I forgot the only thing I was specifically after when I went last time. They sell really nice packs of colored tissue paper, 24 sheets per pack. I use it to wrap up air plants when I ship them and in the top of gift bags. I don't blame myself for forgetting last time. Just as Barbara and I pulled up that day, an older gentleman walking out of Rite-Aid next door fell on the sidewalk. Some women helped him immediately, and by the time I came out of Dollar Tree and Barbara came out of Rite-Aid, there was already a fire truck and ambulance. The fire truck was blocking us in, but we still had to go to Staples, and that took long enough that we only had to wait a couple of minutes to get out.
It took me a while to find the tissue today as my first pack was from another location and the layout was different. I checked crafts, floral, and everything else, then finally found it by the gift wrap and cards. I hoped to find some swim goggles because my cheap pair broke and I don't want to wear out my nicer pair since I'm not even wearing them on my eyes. They're just around my neck for my iPod to clip onto while I tread water. I tried to quickly make a bead chain to use temporarily because I know they get rusty, but I couldn't find my bag of clasps.
But I see that replacements for the ones that broke are $4.99 on Amazon. Ordered.
The recent snow and wind took lots of branches off the biggest tree in our back yard. I was about to clean up the yard myself, but the branches were too big to fit in our yard waste bin. Our yard guy is here now taking care of that as well as cleaning the moss off the driveway and any that might be on the roof, plus adding the annual roof moss treatment to prevent it, and cleaning the skylights. Those have never been cleaned since we moved in, so that will be nice.
