Good thinking

Lately we've gotten into a pretty good routine where we eat twice on weekends instead of three times. That helps make up for those large portions that come at brunch and any cocktails that may appear. We went to Harvey's on Saturday and were talking about what we should have for dinner while we ate brunch, and based on what was available at home, chose burgers with macaroni and cheese. I was a little bummed because we had buns, patties, and cheese, but no lettuce, tomato, or onion. And I definitely didn't want to go to the store. Any time I go any later than 8am, I always get quite annoyed by the crowds.

But then I realized, hey, we're in a restaurant! They have those things! So I asked the bartender if it was possible to get lettuce, tomatoes, and onion to go, and she was more than happy to do that for us.

Burger fixings to go

So later on, I made burgers two ways. One had mayo, sri racha, and provolone, and the other had mustard, pickles, and extra sharp cheddar. If you're making two burgers and cutting them in half anyway, it's just silly not to make two kinds to enjoy.
