I'm starting to really enjoy my time in the pool in a whole new way now that I'm there doing core strength stuff. It's different when there's an important goal to work toward in an enjoyable way. I think a lot of it has to do with how challenging it can be to walk slowly along the bottom of the pool, using my whole foot instead of bouncing off the bottom like a gazelle. The music in my earbuds always makes me feel robotic in a way. I always picture various bad guys from the Terminator franchise pushing along as they melt or break up.
My ankles felt a little weak after a couple of weeks off due to snow and only a couple of walks in the meantime, but it didn't take long at the marina on Thursday for them to feel great again. It was so quiet and dark, too. I think I saw maybe two other people the entire time, and one of them was the security officer driving around in the patrol van.

That last photo is of the yacht club. I would have sworn there's been some work recently in that ballroom but photos online pretty much match. Maybe they just don't normally leave the lights on so I haven't gotten a good look. I'm still curious if it's going to be torn down. It's been a while since I took a good look at the plans on the info signs down there, and those plans are of course subject to change.
Searching around just now, I was a little surprised to see one of the companies building luxury apartments down there will be offering units from 750 to 1400 square feet. Neither size sounds very luxurious to me.
