BOI continues to be one of my best friend hangout places and I love that even though new forms of online interaction come out every year, we get along just fine with multiple email threads every day.
The day before yesterday, Garrett told me that one of the neighborhood shortcuts was currently very well-groomed, and put some videos and photos on our home server. Looking at those made me realize just how long it'd been since I was over there or walked in the neighborhood at all, and I really wanted to, so I did.

You might remember that I walked in the neighborhood a lot when we moved here but when my back pain returned shortly after the move, I kind of always associated the pain with those walks and started to favor them less. I certain returned but never so regularly as my other spots. I've returned to physical therapy and that got me thinking about how nice it would be to heal my attitude about neighborhood walks as I work on healing my back, and I'm really glad I did. It's beautiful here and I should never take that for granted.
Garrett made a lovely roast beef dinner and a very small carrot cake. No need for extra cake because we're also going to his parents' place this weekend since his mom is also a July birthday. We'll have my other favorite that day: pineapple upside-down cake.
I also chose the movie Urban Legend for us to watch, because Tara Reid is in it. If you've never seen that movie, it's actually quite clever and the whole cast is really great.
I'm supposed to go to the dentist today but I just looked at the calendar and I think today's appointment should have been canceled because the last one was delayed due to the phased reopening plan. There's another appointment in the calendar in a month, which is the correct amount of time after the last one, so I think today's is an oversight.
This week I'm also accepting orders for issue 4 of my zine!
